Mensen zonder papieren
‘Mensen zonder papieren’, ‘migranten zonder papieren’ of ‘mensen zonder wettig verblijf’ zijn de termen die gebruikt worden voor migranten die niet beschikken over een verblijfsvergunning en bijgevolg geen toestemming hebben om te verblijven in het bestemmingsland. Dit kan zijn omdat ze de asielprocedure zonder succes hebben doorlopen, omdat hun visum verstreken is of omdat ze illegaal het land zijn binnengekomen.

Undocumented Migrants
Undocumented migrants are those without a residence permit authorising them to regularly stay in their country of destination. They may have been unsuccessful in the asylum procedure, have overstayed their visa or have entered irregularly.
