This brief has been prepared to support the UK workshop:“Building Strategies to Protect Children in an Irregular Migration Situation in the United Kingdom”, which took place in October 2011 in London. It is outlining the laws and policies relating to the rights to healthcare, education and housing of children in an irregular migration situation in the UK and the situation in practice. The brief is part of the Building Strategies to Protect Children in an Irregular Migration Situation in Europe project, co-funded by the European Commission Daphne III programme. Other country briefs will be prepared for Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain.
