Join the e-Discussion on Youth Migration, Equity and Inequalities in the Post-2015 Development Agenda
The UN and civil society partners are hosting an online discussion on Youth Migration, Equity and Inequalities in the Post-2015 Development Agenda in order to highlight and further understanding of the potentially positive impacts that migration can have on young migrants and countries of origin and destination, and the policy environment required to achieve this as part of the post-2015 development agenda.
This blog summarises key discussion points of a book launch and debate on undocumented youth held in the European Parliament in March 2016. Roberto G. Gonzales, Assistant Professor of Education at Harvard University presented his book and research findings in the US and participants discussed recommendations to improve the situation of undocumenetd youth in Europe.
The conference will take place on 3 May and aims to identify potential shortcomings in the current EU approach to labour market integration of young Third Country Nationals, and to discuss key ways to improve the employment opportunities of different categories of young migrants.
