Undocumented Children: Invisible Victims of Immigration Control

This paper explores the vulnerable situation of undocumented children in Europe who, due to their immigration status, are denied fundamental protections and rights and also risk inhumane treatment through detention and deportation.  The control policies directed against irregular migration, currently being pursued by the European Union, has dramatically switched  government and public attention from the need to protect these young immigrants as children to the control and repression of their irregular situation.
